Over the weekend, Drinkaware were delighted to take part in the Spring Ideal Home Show. Our goal was to provide a space for conversations, advice, information, and tools directly to the public.
We brought our most popular public health resources including the alcohol measure cup, the drinks calculator wheel, resources on alcohol and mental health and the newly launched parent resources as part of the Drinkaware ‘Supporting Parents Campaign’ which will see the first public webinar for parents/guardians taking place on May 10th at 12:30pm.

With a footfall of 28,122 guests, there was a huge interest in our stand. Guests were eager to come up to us to learn about our free resources. Over the course of the three days, we handed out over 6500 resources. Our measuring cup and our drinks calculator being the most popular. We spoke to attendees about the effects of alcohol has on long and short term mental and physical health, drink driving and the importance of parents in delaying the age of the first drink. 1 in 4 attendees took away a Drinkaware public health resource.
The show was a huge success and we hope to attend the next Ideal Home Show in October.
