You may have heard about ‘mindful drinking’ and ‘sober curious’ lifestyles. This global movement is being led by health-conscious younger adults and is now embraced by all ages. But what exactly does this mean and how can we practice this new mindset?
Mindful drinking is a growing global movement that can have a positive impact on a person’s mental health. Join Drinkaware and our three exciting panelists, Pádraig Walsh, Dil Wickremasinghe, and Kate Coffey for a panel discussion on mindful drinking, being sober curious and how it can benefit our minds and bodies.
The panel:
Dil Wickremasinghe is an IACP pre-accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor. Dil works with individuals online and face to face, nationally and internationally and has a special interest in intersectionality, gender and sexual diversities.
Pádraig Walsh is a behavioural psychologist who currently lectures in Trinity College, University of Limerick and NUI Galway. Pádraig is also a regular contributor on all matters behaviour change on RTÉ 1’s DriveTime and Virgin Media 1’s The Six O’Clock Show. His mission is to make behavioural and psychological science accessible, applicable and interesting.
Kate Coffey is an Irish influencer based in Dublin. Kate is currently Miss South Dublin 2022 and is undertaking a master’s degree in UCD. Kate is alcohol-free and wants to use her platform to show others that they can socialise without drinking.
