Winter 2021 – Wellbeing and Behaviour Change
DATE: WEDNESDAY 18th November 2021
TIME: 3PM
THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ONLINE VIA ZOOM
To mark Alcohol Awareness Week, please join us for our Winter 2021 Research Briefing. We are delighted to have lined up two speakers that will each deliver presentations focusing on promoting wellbeing through behaviour change that will then be followed by a Q&A session:
Talk One: Promoting wellbeing and behaviour change using prompts
Speaker: Dr David Comerford, Behavioural Economist and Senior Lecturer, University of Stirling. Dr. Comerford will provide examples from his published and peer-reviewed research, having worked on a variety of topics, including breast-feeding, climate change and reactions to COVID-19. He will consider the implications for behaviour and how a simple prompt may be effective at getting us to identify and choose what is in our best interest
Talk Two: Young adults’ relationships with alcohol
Speaker: Donal Kiernan, Addiction Counsellor, University College Dublin. Donal will talk about his experiences of being an advocate for young adults, building relationships with students and how they manage their relationships with alcohol.
Attendance at this event is free. Register via Eventbrite by 5pm on 16th November 2021: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/drinkaware-winter-2021-research-briefing-wellbeing-and-behaviour-change-tickets-204975245477
